Home / Portraits [49]
A major part of all painting collections in museums around the world are portraits.
Why?
God created people in His Own Image, and people like looking at other people.
A photo will fade; but an oil painting will last for thousands of years. It is a family Heirloom, an investment and beautiful memories.
A Portrait is an interaction between the artist and the commissioner. An artist depicts the quintessential characteristics of a person.
It can be formal, informal, indoors, outside, in various settings & different backgrounds, with pets, animals and other people.
A portrait can be done only from live sittings, from live sketches, photos or combination of both.
